Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and responsible Fleet Transition Driver with a strong focus on new car delivery to join our team in Laredo, Texas. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of new vehicles from distribution centers, ports, or manufacturing facilities to dealerships and other designated locations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail for vehicle inspections, adherence to strict delivery schedules, and exceptional driving skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles to transport new cars to various destinations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and document any damages or discrepancies.
  • Ensure all delivery paperwork and electronic logs are accurately completed and submitted on time.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics coordinators, and dealership personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
  • Assist with minor vehicle preparation or staging as needed at pick-up or delivery points.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL Class A or B preferred but not strictly required for all roles, depending on vehicle type)
  • Proven experience in professional driving or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, bending, and occasional lifting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and routes as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in vehicle transport or automotive logistics.
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Customer service experience.
