Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory samples for chemical analysis following established protocols.
- Assist chemists with routine laboratory tests and experiments, including glassware cleaning and setup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including washing and sterilizing lab equipment.
- Document experimental data and observations accurately in lab notebooks or electronic systems.
- Perform basic calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and quality control standards at all times.
- Manage chemical inventory, including receiving, storing, and disposing of reagents safely.
- Support general laboratory operations as needed, ensuring smooth workflow.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of chemistry principles (from coursework or personal interest).
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols precisely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
