Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Logistics Assistant with a strong focus on supply chain operations to join our team in Rockville, MD. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and information within our logistics network, supporting our administrative functions, and contributing to the efficiency of our supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing various office tasks while understanding the intricacies of supply chain management, inventory, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, tracking, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and logistics data.
- Process purchase orders and invoices related to supply chain activities.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Prepare reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.
- Manage general office administrative tasks, including correspondence, filing, and scheduling.
- Support the implementation of supply chain process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of supply chain principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or administrative role.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
