Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Weekend Lab Assistant to join our research and development team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This part-time role is perfect for individuals looking to gain practical experience in a fast-paced scientific laboratory environment. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our scientific staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of laboratory functions on weekends. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general laboratory maintenance, including cleaning glassware, sterilizing equipment, and preparing basic solutions.
- Assist scientists with routine experimental setups and procedures under direct supervision.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any issues.
- Organize and manage laboratory supplies, reagents, and samples, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
- Handle and dispose of biohazardous and chemical waste in accordance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of tasks performed and observations.
- Ensure the laboratory adheres to all safety and compliance regulations.
