Job Description
Are you passionate about guiding emerging talent towards their professional aspirations? Deloitte is seeking a dedicated Part-time Career Mentor with industry-specific expertise to join our team in a WFH Hybrid model. In this vital role, you will leverage your professional experience to provide personalized guidance, career advice, and skill development support to individuals navigating their career paths, particularly within the consulting, technology, and financial services sectors. This position offers the flexibility of working from home with occasional on-site meetings in our Arlington, VA office, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life while making a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group career coaching sessions, both virtually and in-person.
- Assist mentees in developing career goals, refining resumes, and preparing for interviews.
- Share industry insights, trends, and networking strategies relevant to mentees' specific fields of interest.
- Facilitate skill development workshops on topics such as communication, leadership, and professional etiquette.
- Monitor mentee progress and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify emerging career opportunities and resources.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with all mentees.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a relevant industry (e.g., consulting, technology, finance).
- Proven experience in mentorship, coaching, or talent development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong active listening and empathetic guidance abilities.
- Ability to adapt mentoring styles to diverse individuals and career stages.
- Proficiency with virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
- Availability for a minimum of 15-20 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
- Certification in career coaching or counseling.
- Experience working in a large, global professional services firm.
- Familiarity with various career assessment tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in helping individuals achieve career milestones.
