Job Description
Are you an active individual who enjoys working outdoors and staying on the move? Walmart is seeking dedicated and reliable Cart Collection Attendants to join our team in Joliet, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have convenient access to shopping carts, maintaining a tidy parking lot, and providing a positive first impression. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys physical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently collect shopping carts from the parking lot and store them in designated areas.
- Return carts to the front of the store for customer use.
- Maintain a clean and organized parking lot by picking up debris and ensuring safety.
- Assist customers with loading groceries into their vehicles as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and offering assistance.
- Operate cart collection equipment safely and responsibly.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns in the parking lot or with carts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with store associates to support overall store operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to walk, push, pull, and lift throughout a shift.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar outdoor or retail role.
- Familiarity with operating cart collection equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
