Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Olathe, Kansas. This is an exciting opportunity to provide direct patient care, support our residents’ well-being, and contribute to a positive and healing environment. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in monitoring patient health, administering medications, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care. A signing bonus is offered for qualified candidates. This is an on-site position within our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor, record, and report changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents.
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, wound care, and personal care assistance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in care planning and resident assessments.

Required Skills

  • Current LPN license in the state of Kansas.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
  • Experience with geriatric care.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
