Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health & Social Care Porter to join our community-based team in Wolverhampton. This vital role involves providing essential support services that ensure the smooth operation of our community health and social care facilities and the well-being of our patients. You will be responsible for transporting patients safely, moving equipment and supplies, and assisting with general logistical tasks across various community sites. This position requires someone with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients, including those with mobility challenges, between various community locations using appropriate methods and equipment.
  • Move medical records, equipment, specimens, and supplies efficiently and carefully between departments and sites.
  • Assist with the delivery and setup of equipment for community health events or clinics.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of essential supplies, ensuring availability and proper storage.
  • Provide support to clinical staff with non-clinical tasks as required to ensure a clean and organized environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and patient confidentiality policies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and colleagues, demonstrating empathy and respect.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full UK driving license (desirable but not essential).
