Job Description
As a Hydroponic Picker at Infarm, you will be a vital part of our innovative team, working in a clean, climate-controlled indoor environment. Your primary role will be to carefully harvest a variety of fresh produce grown using our advanced hydroponic systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable agriculture and help deliver high-quality, locally grown food to our customers. We are looking for individuals who are meticulous, reliable, and enthusiastic about modern farming techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully harvesting various hydroponically grown crops according to quality standards and picking protocols.
- Monitoring plant health and reporting any anomalies to team leads.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the growing areas and picking stations.
- Assisting with plant care tasks such as pruning, thinning, and transplanting as needed.
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Packaging harvested produce efficiently and accurately.
- Operating basic harvesting tools and equipment safely.
- Contributing to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety principles (training provided).
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Comfortable working in a climate-controlled indoor environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a similar production environment.
- Familiarity with hydroponic systems or indoor farming.
- Food hygiene certification.
