Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Residential Care Worker for the night shift. This is a vital role focused on providing direct care, support, and supervision to residents in our residential facilities. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about helping others, even without prior experience in a care setting. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of our residents during overnight hours, fostering a supportive and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and support to residents during the night shift, ensuring their safety and security.
  • Assist residents with personal care needs as required, while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Monitor residents' health and well-being, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Respond to resident needs and emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work the night shift (e.g., 10 PM – 6 AM or similar).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a caregiving, social services, or related field (not required, but a plus).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Bilingual skills (especially Spanish or Cantonese) are a strong asset.
