Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Hospital Porters to join our team, serving various Nuffield Health sites across the UK. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our hospitals, providing essential support services that directly impact patient care and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for transporting patients, equipment, and supplies safely and punctually throughout our facilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Transporting patients via wheelchairs, trolleys, or beds between wards, departments, and appointment areas.
  • Moving medical equipment, records, samples, and supplies efficiently and safely.
  • Collecting and delivering mail, parcels, and other hospital items.
  • Assisting with the safe movement of deceased patients to the mortuary.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of equipment and designated areas.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and hospital policies.
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.

Required Skills

  • Excellent physical fitness and stamina for manual handling and walking long distances.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
