Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Shopify Specialist to join our e-commerce team in Prince George. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing our online store presence, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Shopify platform, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for e-commerce best practices. This is a Monday to Friday position with no scheduled overtime, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain product listings, ensuring accuracy in descriptions, pricing, and inventory across the Shopify platform.
- Implement and test new features, apps, and themes to enhance store functionality and user experience.
- Monitor website performance, identifying and resolving any technical issues or bugs promptly.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure promotional content and campaigns are effectively deployed on the Shopify store.
- Analyze e-commerce data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide front-line support for Shopify-related inquiries and issues from internal teams.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience managing a Shopify e-commerce store.
- Proficiency with Shopify's administrative interface and core functionalities.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for minor theme adjustments.
- Experience with product data management and inventory synchronization.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Experience with third-party Shopify apps and integrations (e.g., ERP, CRM, marketing automation).
- Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce.
- Experience in the retail or apparel industry.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
