Job Description
As a Limo Compliance Officer with a focus on Safety & Logs, you will be instrumental in ensuring our entire fleet and operational practices adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. This role involves meticulous oversight of vehicle maintenance records, driver logs, safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with our operations team, drivers, and maintenance staff to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit driver hours of service (HOS) logs for compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all vehicles undergo scheduled maintenance and inspections, maintaining detailed records.
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures for drivers and fleet operations.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and refreshers for all operational staff.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and safety violations, recommending corrective actions.
- Stay updated on changes in local, state, and federal transportation laws and regulations (e.g., CPUC, DOT).
- Manage and track all required permits, licenses, and certifications for drivers and vehicles.
- Perform internal compliance audits and prepare for external regulatory inspections.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance-related activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in transportation compliance, safety, or logistics management.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT, CPUC, and other relevant transportation regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping and auditing.
- Proficiency in using fleet management and log auditing software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate and enforce policies effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Safety Management (e.g., OSHA, CSP).
- Experience with luxury ground transportation or limousine services.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus due to regional demographics.
