Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Freight Taggers. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, labeling, and scanning freight shipments to ensure proper routing and delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately identify and verify freight details against shipping manifests.
  • Apply appropriate tags and labels to freight according to established procedures.
  • Utilize handheld scanners to record freight movement and status.
  • Inspect freight for damage and report discrepancies.
  • Assist with freight sorting and organization within the terminal.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret shipping labels and documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with handheld scanning devices.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry freight up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
