Job Description
As a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health in New Port Richey, FL, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and supporting the pharmacists in dispensing medications. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a commitment to patient care and adherence to all legal and company regulations. You will be responsible for preparing and processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and assisting patients with their healthcare needs. Key Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist patients with prescription drop-off, pick-up, and general inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Process insurance claims and resolve basic payment issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Pharmacy Technician licensure or certification in Florida.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems (e.g., RxConnect).
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
