Job Description
Truist is seeking a meticulous and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Public Treasury Vault Assistant. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the security and integrity of our financial assets. You will be responsible for assisting with the secure handling, storage, and inventory of high-value items within our treasury vault, adhering to stringent security protocols and regulatory requirements. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the secure receipt, storage, and dispatch of currency, precious metals, and other valuable assets.
- Perform accurate inventory counts and reconcile vault contents with records daily.
- Operate and monitor vault security systems and procedures.
- Maintain precise and meticulous records of all vault transactions and activities.
- Adhere strictly to all internal security protocols, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with senior vault personnel to ensure efficient and secure vault operations.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, anomalies, or security concerns immediately.
- Participate in regular audits and inspections of vault contents and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure vault environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong sense of integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to follow strict instructions and protocols precisely.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and reconciliation.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy containers (up to 50 lbs) safely and repeatedly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-security, controlled environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cash handling or a security-focused role.
- Familiarity with financial institution operations.
- Knowledge of basic security procedures and risk management.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping.
