Job Description
Are you a master of languages with exceptional listening skills and a keen eye for detail? Telus International is seeking dedicated WFH Multilingual Transcriptionists to join our growing team. This 100% remote, part-time position offers the flexibility to work from home while contributing to diverse and impactful projects. You will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio and video files across a wide range of subjects and languages, ensuring clarity and precision in every task. This role is ideal for individuals who are highly proficient in multiple languages and possess excellent time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio and video recordings into written text across various languages.
- Maintain strict adherence to transcription guidelines, grammar, punctuation, and client-specific style guides.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality transcriptions, meeting all project deadlines.
- Review and edit own work for accuracy, completeness, and linguistic integrity.
- Utilize specified transcription software and tools efficiently.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English and at least two other languages (reading, writing, and listening).
- Exceptional listening skills with the ability to discern different accents and speech patterns.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style in all working languages.
- Proficient typing speed and accuracy.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in transcription, translation, or localization.
- Familiarity with various transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Trint).
- Experience working with diverse audio qualities and complex subject matter.
- Advanced degree or certification in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
- Knowledge of specific industry terminology (e.g., medical, legal, technical).
