Job Description
American Airlines is seeking a highly skilled and professional Executive SUV Driver to provide safe, reliable, and discreet transportation for our senior leadership and VIP guests. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional driving skills, an impeccable record, and the ability to navigate various conditions, including adverse weather, with confidence and precision. This role demands a commitment to punctuality, confidentiality, and providing a superior level of service while ensuring comfort and safety at all times. You will be responsible for maintaining the executive vehicle to the highest standards of cleanliness and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport executives, clients, and guests to various destinations within the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding areas.
- Maintain strict punctuality and adherence to schedules, adjusting routes as necessary for traffic or other conditions.
- Operate executive SUVs with expertise in all weather conditions, including rain, ice, and fog, ensuring passenger safety and comfort.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring optimal mechanical condition, fuel levels, and pristine cleanliness.
- Plan routes effectively using GPS and real-time traffic information, anticipating potential delays and selecting the most efficient paths.
- Handle luggage and personal belongings with care and assist passengers as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all passenger activities, conversations, and schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and executive protection protocols.
- Provide professional, courteous, and discreet service at all times, anticipating passenger needs without being intrusive.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
Required Skills
- Valid Driver's License with an impeccable, clean driving record (no major infractions within the last 5 years).
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in professional or executive driving.
- Expertise in operating luxury SUVs and sedans.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, including specific knowledge of routes, airports, and corporate locations in Irving.
- Excellent defensive driving skills and a proactive approach to road safety.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure, including managing unexpected situations or difficult traffic.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with high-profile individuals.
- Unwavering discretion and a strong sense of confidentiality.
- Physical ability to assist with luggage and perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., checking tire pressure, fluid levels).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Defensive Driving certification (e.g., from a recognized driving academy).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience with executive protection protocols or working in a security-conscious environment.
- Background in luxury transportation, private chauffeuring, or corporate fleet services.
- Familiarity with in-car technology and navigation systems specific to executive vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is a plus.
