Job Description
We are actively seeking experienced and professional Sprinter Van Owner Operators to partner with us for expedited freight services. This is an incredible opportunity for independent contractors who own or are ready to acquire a Sprinter van and are dedicated to providing premier time-sensitive transportation. You will be responsible for picking up and delivering critical shipments, ensuring they reach their destination safely and on schedule, adhering to all DOT regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate your Sprinter van safely and efficiently to transport expedited freight.
- Manage your own business operations, including finances, maintenance, and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and support staff.
- Ensure all paperwork and electronic logs are accurately maintained.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B CDL (if required by vehicle weight/type, though typically non-CDL for Sprinters)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Proof of vehicle ownership (or lease agreement) and insurance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate a Sprinter van safely and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Experience with expedited freight or time-sensitive deliveries
- Knowledge of DOT regulations specific to Sprinter vans
- Business acumen for managing an independent contracting operation
