Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Provide support with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and feeding.
  • Assist with medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisory staff.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients.
  • Document care services provided accurately and timely.

Required Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Amarillo and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Commitment to upholding client dignity and confidentiality.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional).
  • CNA certification (not required, but a plus).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of basic nutrition and meal preparation.
