Job Description

You will learn essential construction skills, safety protocols, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks on construction sites.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, and other temporary structures.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety regulations and procedures.
- Learn and apply new construction techniques and skills as directed.
- Work collaboratively with the construction team to ensure project timelines are met.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take direction effectively.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Prior experience in a manual labor role (not necessarily construction).
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (can be obtained during employment).
