Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting our busy hospital environment, ensuring the smooth flow of patients, equipment, and vital supplies. Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients, including those with varying mobility levels, via wheelchairs, trolleys, or beds to different departments within the hospital.
- Deliver and collect medical equipment, specimens, patient notes, and supplies across various hospital areas promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with the movement of furniture and other large items as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment in transport areas and assist with general tidiness around the hospital.
- Respond quickly and courteously to requests from medical staff, nurses, and other hospital personnel.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control guidelines and patient confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, visitors, and staff members.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
- Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items safely.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- A patient-focused attitude and a desire to help others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or care-giving role (not essential).
- Current First Aid certification.
- Manual handling training (training will be provided if not held).
