Job Description
We are seeking passionate and dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teachers to join our vibrant team in Derby. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons to students of various levels and age groups.
- Create a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and progress.
- Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress regularly.
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to suit the needs of individual students and class dynamics.
- Participate in professional development sessions and team meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum and teaching resources.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in any field (or equivalent).
- Internationally recognized TEFL, CELTA, or DELTA qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience teaching English as a Second Language.
- Excellent command of the English language (native or near-native proficiency).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Experience with various teaching technologies and online learning platforms.
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Experience teaching exam preparation courses (e.g., IELTS, Cambridge).
- Previous experience living or working abroad.
