Job Description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teachers to join our vibrant team in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified educators eager to make a significant impact on students’ language journey. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons to students of various levels and age groups.
  • Create a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and progress.
  • Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress regularly.
  • Adapt teaching materials and methods to suit the needs of individual students and class dynamics.
  • Participate in professional development sessions and team meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum and teaching resources.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, including safeguarding.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in any field (or equivalent).
  • Internationally recognized TEFL, CELTA, or DELTA qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Excellent command of the English language (native or near-native proficiency).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with various teaching technologies and online learning platforms.
  • Proficiency in a second language.
  • Experience teaching exam preparation courses (e.g., IELTS, Cambridge).
  • Previous experience living or working abroad.
