Job Description
We are seeking diligent and reliable Fruit Crate Handlers to join our busy Mansfield distribution team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of fresh fruit from our suppliers to our stores. You will be responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of fruit crates, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and adhering to all health and safety regulations. This is a fast-paced environment requiring physical stamina and attention to detail. We offer the convenience of daily payouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload fruit crates from delivery vehicles and onto pallets.
- Sort and organise fruit crates in the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Verify quantities and ensure the quality of incoming and outgoing produce.
- Operate pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment as required (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Report any discrepancies or damage to supervisors immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily targets.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy crates repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail for quality control and inventory accuracy.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or forklifts (certification a plus).
- Knowledge of fresh produce handling best practices.
