Job Description

Join the Sobeys team as a Milk Run Assistant, playing a vital role in our early morning logistics operations in Sainte-Foy, Quebec City. As a Milk Run Assistant, you will be responsible for the efficient collection and delivery of fresh produce, baked goods, and other essential items between our distribution center and retail locations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform early morning collection and delivery routes as per schedule.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring secure and safe transport.
  • Verify product quantities and quality against manifests.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws.
  • Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, store personnel, and team members.
  • Adhere to all food safety and handling procedures.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work early morning shifts consistently.
  • Strong sense of punctuality and reliability.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for verifying manifests.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a delivery or logistics role.
  • Familiarity with the Quebec City area.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
