Job Description

We are seeking a talented and driven E-commerce Platform Engineer to join our innovative team in Casper, Wyoming. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers Amazon’s global e-commerce operations. You will work on highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems, contributing to backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that support millions of transactions daily. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and resilient backend services for our e-commerce platform.
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and security of critical e-commerce components.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to define and implement new features.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural planning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across various system layers.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including testing, documentation, and continuous integration/delivery.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C#.
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Proven ability to build highly scalable, reliable, and secure applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with specific e-commerce platforms or frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
  • Experience with caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
