Job Description

Terminix in Cape Coral, Florida, is seeking a motivated Trainee Pest Control Officer to join our team. No prior experience in pest control is required – we provide comprehensive, paid training and cover the cost of your state licensing! This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working independently, have a keen eye for detail, and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service. You will learn the science and art of pest management, identifying pest issues, implementing effective solutions, and building lasting relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete paid, comprehensive training program to learn pest control techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures.
- Obtain state pest control licensing through company-provided training and support.
- Perform thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations and entry points.
- Develop and implement customized pest management plans under supervision, utilizing appropriate products and methods.
- Apply pest control treatments safely and effectively, following all regulations and company guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service, educating clients on pest prevention and answering their questions.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, products used, and customer interactions.
- Operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles responsibly.
- Adhere to all safety standards and environmental regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and safety data sheets.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, crawling, and working in various weather conditions.
