Job Description

As a Tally Clerk Porter with a focus on Records & Logistics, you will play a vital role in the efficient management of goods and records within our Liverpool facility. This position involves accurate counting, recording, and movement of inventory and documentation. You will ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are correctly tallied and documented, maintaining the integrity of our logistics data and physical stock. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and physical capability in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately count, verify, and record incoming and outgoing goods against manifests, invoices, and other documentation.
  • Ensure all discrepancies are immediately reported and investigated.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage of items.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, trolleys) safely and efficiently, if certified or trained.
  • Organize and maintain physical records, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with storage protocols.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support general warehouse duties as needed.

Required Skills

  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately read, write, and record data.
  • Basic computer literacy (e.g., data entry).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg).
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control role.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Valid forklift or MHE (Material Handling Equipment) license (though not mandatory for the "Porter" aspect, it's a plus).
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures in a logistics environment.
