Job Description
Are you eager to start a career in the security industry? ADT Security Services is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Security Screen Helper with an installation focus to join our team in Downtown Brampton. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a dynamic industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting with the installation and maintenance of security systems, learning valuable technical skills, and contributing to the safety and security of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians with the installation of security screens, sensors, cameras, and control panels.
- Prepare work sites, including gathering tools and materials, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Run and pull cables, mount devices, and perform basic wiring tasks under supervision.
- Learn to test security components and ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and company vehicles.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service while on client premises.
- Transport tools and equipment to and from job sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned by lead technicians.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hands-on or construction-related role.
- Knowledge of basic electrical principles or wiring.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
