Job Description

We are seeking motivated and reliable Heavy Lifting Helpers to join our Calgary team. This role involves assisting with the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and transportation of furniture and other household or commercial items. As a key part of our moving and delivery crew, you will ensure items are handled with care and delivered on time. This position offers immediate start for candidates who are physically fit, punctual, and eager to work in a dynamic environment. Cash pay provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy furniture, boxes, and other items.
  • Load and unload moving trucks and vans efficiently and carefully.
  • Wrap and protect items to prevent damage during transit.
  • Disassemble and reassemble furniture as required.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete moves promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and moves.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Strong physical stamina and endurance.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in moving, logistics, or a physically demanding role.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (asset, but not required).
  • First Aid/CPR certification (asset).
