Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Support Scribe to join our Level 1 IT team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. As a Technical Support Scribe, you will play a crucial role in documenting customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for technical support queries. You will assist in ensuring accurate and comprehensive records are maintained, supporting our mission to provide exceptional service. This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of IT concepts, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail, looking to start their career in technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document customer technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in real-time.
- Categorize and tag support tickets for efficient tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with Level 1 Technical Support Agents to ensure all relevant information is captured.
- Maintain and update knowledge base articles based on common support scenarios and resolutions.
- Identify trends in customer issues and provide feedback to improve support processes and product documentation.
- Assist in basic data entry and administrative tasks related to support operations.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and documentation skills.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts (e.g., operating systems, networking fundamentals, common software applications).
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a documentation, administrative, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with CRM software or ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk).
- Associate's degree or certification in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience with remote collaboration tools.
