Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in structured training programs and mentorship sessions to develop core data science skills.
- Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing tasks to prepare data for analysis.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Support the development and implementation of basic statistical models and machine learning algorithms under supervision.
- Collaborate with senior data scientists and other team members on various projects.
- Document methodologies, findings, and model performance clearly and concisely.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data science.
- Present findings and insights to internal stakeholders in an understandable manner.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering).
- Basic proficiency in a programming language such as Python or R.
- Foundational understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to machine learning concepts or relevant coursework/projects.
- Understanding of cloud platforms like IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Completed online courses or certifications in data science or related fields.
