Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Hotel Porter to join our dedicated team at Hilton Colchester. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, playing a crucial role in creating a positive and lasting impression. You will assist guests with their luggage, provide information, and ensure the smooth operation of guest arrivals and departures. This role requires a friendly demeanor, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring timely and careful delivery to rooms and vehicles.
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions, offering recommendations as requested.
- Assist guests with transportation needs, including calling taxis or directing them to public transport options.
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby area, ensuring luggage trolleys and bell carts are readily available.
- Deliver newspapers, mail, and other items to guest rooms promptly.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests efficiently and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with moving furniture or equipment within the hotel as required.
- Collaborate with front desk and concierge teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.
