Job Description
Join Shopify’s dynamic support team as a Part-time Shopify Tech Support Specialist, focusing on evening and weekend shifts. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our merchants, providing exceptional technical assistance and troubleshooting for their Shopify stores. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of e-commerce, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping others succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Shopify merchants via chat, email, and phone during evening and weekend hours.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Shopify platform functionality, themes, apps, and integrations.
- Guide merchants through various Shopify features, settings, and best practices.
- Escalate complex issues to senior support staff or specialized teams when necessary.
- Document interactions and resolutions accurately in our CRM system.
- Stay up-to-date with new Shopify features, app updates, and e-commerce trends.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and internal documentation to improve support efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with the Shopify platform and its core functionalities.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce principles and online store operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues systematically.
- Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote or hybrid team.
- Availability to work evening and weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a technical support or customer service role, preferably in e-commerce.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic liquid templating for Shopify themes.
- Experience with popular Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
- A diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Business).
