Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Fuel Delivery Driver to join our local operations team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of various fuel products to customer locations within a defined local service area. You will operate state-of-the-art tanker trucks, ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards. This is a local route position, allowing you to be home daily, with an attractive safety bonus program to reward your commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (tanker truck) to transport fuel products to various customer sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects or issues.
- Load and unload fuel products in compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery schedules are met.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding and adherence to DOT regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating fuel tankers or delivering hazardous materials.
- Familiarity with the Scottsdale/Phoenix metropolitan area.
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and dispatch software.
