Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Digital Asset Manager with a specific focus on our Netflix media library to join our dynamic team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management, organization, and distribution of a vast array of digital assets related to our content licensed to and distributed via the Netflix platform. This includes ensuring metadata accuracy, adherence to digital rights, and efficient retrieval for various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital asset management systems, media workflows, and a passion for optimizing content accessibility and preservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of digital assets, from ingestion to archival, specifically for content distributed through Netflix.
- Implement and maintain metadata standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all assets.
- Oversee the cataloging, tagging, and indexing of video, audio, image, and textual assets.
- Ensure proper digital rights management and usage tracking for all Netflix-related content.
- Facilitate asset retrieval and distribution to internal teams and authorized external partners.
- Collaborate with production, post-production, legal, and marketing teams to understand asset needs and workflows.
- Identify and resolve issues related to asset quality, metadata discrepancies, and system performance.
- Stay current with DAM best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies, particularly those relevant to streaming platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation for DAM policies, procedures, and training materials.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Media Studies, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Digital Asset Management, preferably within the media and entertainment industry.
- Proven experience with enterprise-level DAM systems and content management platforms.
- Strong understanding of media file formats, codecs, and digital content delivery workflows.
- Excellent metadata management skills, including taxonomy development and controlled vocabulary application.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of digital assets with precision and efficiency.
- Familiarity with intellectual property rights, copyright, and licensing pertaining to digital media.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience working with content distributed on major streaming platforms (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video).
- Knowledge of media production and post-production processes.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools for asset management tasks.
- Certification in Digital Asset Management or related fields.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
