Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our corporate team in Pearland, TX. This vital role focuses on promoting and restoring health, preventing illness, and protecting employees from work-related hazards within our corporate office environment. The ideal candidate will manage health services, conduct health assessments, provide health education, and ensure compliance with occupational health regulations. This is a day-shift, corporate office role with no weekend shifts required, offering an excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver comprehensive occupational health services for corporate employees.
- Conduct pre-employment health screenings, periodic health assessments, and return-to-work evaluations.
- Provide initial assessment, treatment, and referral for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Implement and manage health and wellness programs, including vaccinations and health education.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and safety departments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Participate in the development and review of occupational health policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in occupational health, emergency medicine, or critical care.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation laws.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or COHN-S certification.
- Experience with corporate wellness program development and implementation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
