Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Podcast Production Intern to join our remote audio engineering team. This is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about audio storytelling and podcasting to gain hands-on experience with a global leader in the audio industry. You will contribute to various stages of podcast production, from editing and mixing to sound design and quality control, all while working collaboratively with a distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior audio engineers in editing and mastering podcast episodes, ensuring high-quality audio output.
- Perform sound design tasks, including sourcing and integrating sound effects, music, and voiceovers.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on all audio files to maintain brand standards and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with content creators and producers to understand project requirements and deliver on creative vision.
- Manage and organize audio assets, ensuring proper filing and version control.
- Research and recommend new audio production tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute actively to project discussions.
Required Skills
- Basic proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Audacity, GarageBand, or similar.
- Fundamental understanding of audio editing principles (e.g., noise reduction, equalization, compression).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for a remote work environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen ear for audio quality.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- A genuine passion for podcasts and audio content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with professional DAWs like Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Reaper.
- Experience with sound design and mixing techniques.
- Familiarity with podcast publishing platforms and workflows.
- Basic knowledge of audio hardware and recording equipment.
- Pursuing a degree or certification in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Broadcasting, or a related field.
