Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and efficient Labelling Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced factory environment in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining labelling machinery to ensure all products are labelled accurately and efficiently, adhering to our strict quality and safety standards. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of our production line and ensuring our products are market-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated labelling machinery, including setup and adjustment of equipment.
  • Perform routine quality checks on labelled products to ensure accuracy, alignment, and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct minor maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of labelling machines to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
  • Load and unload materials such as labels, products, and other consumables onto the machines.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, food hygiene standards, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area, complying with 5S principles.
  • Report any machinery malfunctions, product quality issues, or safety concerns to the line supervisor immediately.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Accurately complete production logs and documentation.

Required Skills

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to understand machine operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, including some lifting.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or factory environment, preferably within FMCG.
  • Familiarity with production line processes and quality control procedures.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a factory setting.
