Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all aspects of our comprehensive driver training program.
- Learn and master safe driving techniques and defensive driving practices.
- Understand and apply Mears Transportation's high standards for customer service and etiquette.
- Maintain punctuality and adherence to schedules for all assigned training drives.
- Learn to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Develop proficiency in using navigation systems and understanding local routes within Orlando and surrounding areas.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with trainers, dispatch, and, eventually, clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- High degree of reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as training progresses.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
