Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all aspects of our comprehensive driver training program.
  • Learn and master safe driving techniques and defensive driving practices.
  • Understand and apply Mears Transportation's high standards for customer service and etiquette.
  • Maintain punctuality and adherence to schedules for all assigned training drives.
  • Learn to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Develop proficiency in using navigation systems and understanding local routes within Orlando and surrounding areas.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with trainers, dispatch, and, eventually, clients.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Required Skills

  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • High degree of reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as training progresses.
