Job Description
Join our team as an Oilfield Dispatch Assistant in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is a crucial administrative role supporting our field operations from a comfortable, low-stress office environment. You will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of personnel, equipment, and materials to various oilfield sites, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively within a team to meet operational demands. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of field personnel, equipment, and materials in response to operational needs.
- Communicate effectively with field crews, supervisors, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatches, vehicle logs, equipment movements, and personnel assignments.
- Process and track work orders, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Monitor communication channels (radio, phone, email) and respond to inquiries or urgent requests promptly.
- Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of supplies as needed for dispatch operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies related to dispatch activities.
- Provide administrative support to the dispatch department and other operational teams as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic geographical knowledge of the Fort Smith and surrounding Arkansas region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dispatch, logistics, or administrative support role.
- Familiarity with the oil & gas industry or field service operations.
- Experience with dispatch software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
