Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Smart Home Commands Annotator to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the accuracy and intelligence of our smart home devices and AI assistants. You will be responsible for meticulously analyzing, transcribing, and annotating spoken commands related to smart home functionalities, ensuring our systems understand and respond correctly to diverse user inputs. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe and annotate audio recordings of smart home commands accurately and efficiently.
- Categorize and tag linguistic data according to predefined guidelines and taxonomies.
- Identify and flag discrepancies or ambiguities in data for review by lead annotators or linguistic experts.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve annotation guidelines and tools.
- Maintain high levels of data quality and consistency across all assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
Required Skills
- Excellent proficiency in English (grammar, spelling, punctuation).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex guidelines precisely.
- Familiarity with smart home devices, voice assistants, and common commands (e.g., turning lights on/off, adjusting thermostats).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in data annotation, transcription, or linguistic analysis.
- Experience using annotation tools or platforms.
- Basic understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and tools.
- Degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
