Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Shopify Creative Director to lead our e-commerce brand strategy and execution. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining and elevating the visual identity, user experience, and overall creative direction of Lush’s Shopify-powered online stores. You will champion brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, driving engagement, conversion, and loyalty through compelling design and storytelling. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, e-commerce best practices, and a proven track record in developing impactful creative strategies for consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a cohesive creative vision for Lush's global Shopify e-commerce platforms, ensuring brand consistency and innovation.
- Lead and mentor a team of designers, copywriters, and content creators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance creative environment.
- Oversee the design and development of all digital assets, including website layouts, campaign visuals, product photography, and video content.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and technology teams to align creative strategies with business objectives and technical capabilities.
- Analyze e-commerce performance data to identify opportunities for creative optimization and A/B testing.
- Stay abreast of emerging e-commerce trends, design technologies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure all digital content adheres to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices.
- Present creative concepts and strategies to senior leadership, incorporating feedback and iterating as necessary.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of progressive experience in creative leadership roles, specifically within e-commerce or digital agencies.
- Minimum 5 years direct experience managing creative for Shopify Plus platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design sense, brand building, and successful e-commerce initiatives.
- Expertise in UX/UI principles for e-commerce, with a focus on conversion optimization.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with international e-commerce markets and localization strategies.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better communicate with developers.
- Experience working with a global brand and understanding diverse cultural preferences.
