Job Description
Join Schneider as a CDL-A Tanker Driver, specializing in Hazmat operations. This role offers top hourly rates, a consistent schedule, and the opportunity to transport critical materials safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for the secure and timely delivery of bulk liquid hazardous and non-hazardous materials, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and company policies. This is a critical role that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL-A commercial motor vehicle with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
- Transport bulk liquid hazardous and non-hazardous materials according to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Load and unload tanks safely, following all hazmat protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety standards.
- Perform minor roadside adjustments and repairs as necessary.
- Ensure timely delivery schedules are met while prioritizing safety.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Hazmat endorsement (H)
- Tanker endorsement (N)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
