Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Clinical Aide to join our healthcare team for weekend support. This vital role involves assisting medical staff in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Clinical Aide, you will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our weekend services, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in healthcare, make a tangible difference in patients’ lives, and be a crucial part of a supportive team during critical weekend hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including mobility, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Support nurses and other medical professionals by performing routine tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and documenting observations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Transport patients and equipment within the facility as needed.
- Respond to patient calls promptly and relay concerns to the appropriate nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Physical stamina to perform duties including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., as a CNA, patient care technician, or volunteer)
- Enrollment in a nursing or healthcare-related program
- Knowledge of medical terminology
