Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of Portland’s biggest events? The Cross Insurance Arena is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Event Stewards / Ushers. This is a fantastic entry-level position, perfect for those seeking weekend work, with no prior experience required! You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all our guests, making every event a success. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and direct guests to their seats and facilities in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide accurate information about the venue, event schedules, and policies.
- Monitor assigned sections for any safety hazards or issues, reporting concerns to supervisors.
- Assist guests with special needs, ensuring accessibility and comfort.
- Enforce venue rules and regulations politely and effectively.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve minor issues, escalating as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within your assigned area.
- Participate in pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with a desire to assist guests.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Positive and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or a public-facing role (not required, but a plus).
- First Aid/CPR certification (can be obtained after hire).
- Familiarity with the Cross Insurance Arena venue.
