Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities, including personal care (bathing, dressing, hygiene), meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Assist individuals in developing and maintaining life skills, such as money management, household chores, and community integration.
• Facilitate and participate in recreational, social, and educational activities within the home and community.
• Transport individuals to appointments, community outings, and other activities safely and reliably.
• Document observations, progress, and incidents accurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Implement individualized support plans and behavioral support strategies as outlined by service coordinators.
• Promote a safe, clean, and healthy living environment for all residents.
• Act as an advocate for individuals, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caregiving, direct support, or human services role (even volunteer experience).
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
• Completion of college coursework in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Education).
