Job Description

Tutor.com is seeking dedicated Virtual Homework Helpers to provide personalized, one-on-one online support to students in various subjects. This remote, part-time position offers flexible evening and weekend hours, making it ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income while making a positive impact. As a Virtual Homework Helper, you will guide students through homework problems, clarify subject matter, and build confidence from the comfort of your own home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time, one-on-one virtual homework assistance to students in chosen subjects.
- Explain complex concepts clearly and concisely, adapting to individual student learning styles.
- Guide students through problem-solving processes rather than providing direct answers.
- Utilize our online classroom tools, including whiteboard, chat, and file sharing.
- Maintain a professional, patient, and encouraging demeanor during all sessions.
- Adhere to established tutoring best practices and company guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one core subject area (e.g., Math, Science, English, History).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
