Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working with children and their families, and we warmly welcome international applicants. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of developmental, neurological, and physical challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping our patients achieve their full potential, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life through individualized treatment plans and family education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients' developmental, sensory, motor, and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each child's specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, educators, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise programs, and adaptive techniques to support ongoing progress.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to all ethical and professional standards of occupational therapy practice and Banner Health policies.

Required Skills

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current or eligible for Occupational Therapist licensure in the State of Arizona.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessing and treating a diverse caseload of pediatric conditions (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays, fine motor deficits).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and family engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialization or certification in a pediatric area (e.g., Sensory Integration, NDT, Feeding Therapy).
  • Experience working within a hospital or large outpatient clinic setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
