Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Inventory Analyst to join our innovative AI Retail team in Rapid City. This role offers a stable career path for individuals passionate about retail operations and interested in the application of artificial intelligence in inventory management. You will play a crucial role in analyzing inventory data, identifying trends, and supporting the implementation of AI-driven strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve product availability across our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and analysis of large datasets related to inventory levels, sales, and supply chain logistics.
- Support the senior analysts in monitoring key inventory performance indicators and identifying discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, logistics, and store operations, to ensure effective inventory flow.
- Help prepare reports and presentations on inventory status, forecasting accuracy, and the impact of AI initiatives.
- Learn and apply AI/ML tools and methodologies to improve inventory prediction models and automated reordering systems.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and reconciliation processes.
- Provide administrative support to the inventory management team as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts and data interpretation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.

- Basic knowledge of SQL or other programming languages for data manipulation.
- Previous internship or project experience in retail, supply chain, or data analysis.
